Vickey Schmadeka, kinesiologist and body recovery therapist
"Movement is essential for life to renew. How we move determines the expression of our life force."

With a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness (Kinesiology focus) and over two decades as a body recovery therapist, Vickey's practice is rooted in the natural geometry of human movement and the interrelatedness of the body's movement systems. Her work helps clients unlock greater freedom of movement, authentic self-expression, and a profound sense of physical and energetic alignment.

Vickey brings a deeply personal relationship with movement — from horseback riding, tennis, and forest work in her youth, to yoga, hiking, and mountain biking in adulthood, to a decade of fieldwork in natural resources. Since 2002, she has applied the principles of natural geometry of human movement to facilitate lasting change in the human condition.

What is a Kinesiologist?

A kinesiologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the study of human movement and physical activity. Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement, and kinesiologists apply this knowledge across a wide range of fields.

Kinesiologists use their understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics to assess and treat movement-related issues and injuries. They may work with individuals who have physical disabilities, chronic pain, or musculoskeletal injuries to develop personalized programs that improve strength, flexibility, and mobility — and with athletes to optimize performance and prevent injuries.

Sports Performance

Helping athletes optimize movement patterns and prevent injury.

Rehabilitation

Restoring function after injury, surgery, or chronic conditions.

Ergonomics

Designing environments and tasks to fit the human body.

Biomechanics

Analyzing the mechanical aspects of human movement.

Kinesiologists may use a variety of techniques and tools to assess movement, including manual muscle testing to evaluate muscle strength and function. Overall, kinesiologists play an important role in promoting health and well-being — using their expertise to help individuals improve physical function, prevent injuries, and optimize performance.
